TRP PROTECTOR MANIA
Just a couple of weeks left until we open the doors to our showroom in Hammenhög for this season! If you’ve joined us on our instagram you might know that we’ve renovated a new room (the purple room, more insights and images from that will come soon!) which will be open during easter as a part of our showroom apartment, where we showcase our products in a homelike environment. We’ve also done some updates to the showroom kitchen, and maybe most importantly, we’ve dedicated a whole wall to our new TRP Protector collection in the main showroom!
The TRP Protector (simply meaning the Tropical Protector) was one of the first designs we drew together for Tropical Scandinavia. Inspired by ancient masks found all over the world, originally made to scare off bad spirits. But this protector has a slightly different approach - rather than scaring something off, we think of it as a protector of the good and loving that is within all of us. Bad things and challenging emotions come and go (whether we like it or not) and sometimes, rather than resisting, could we perhaps let go a little and let that energy flow through us?
Two of the big new screen prints, printed with fluorescent ink (these should be seen live, they’re super intense!:) and a new riso print. PS - we’ll also have these great colourful frames for sale in the showroom! [/caption]
We’ve made three new exclusive limited edition screen prints with fluorescent ink and six new colour ways for the TRP Protector riso print. These will all be available online the 6th of April, 7PM. To see a video from the making of the screen prints, click here.
During the open showroom days we’ll also be showcasing some brand new wool rugs (available online from the 2nd of April). You’ll also of course be able to check out and shop our full range of products.
